General Information
The School Site Council (SSC) is a decision-making body that represents all stakeholders of the school community. The school principal, teachers, other personnel, and parents make up the council. School Site Councils operate under Education Code as well as local policies from the Board of Education. Additionally, the SSC develops, monitors, and revises the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), including advising on how to allocate resources to support the plan.
All partners work together to make sure that each school site's plan aligns with district plans, and focuses resources upon improvement strategies that help all students reach high standards and achieve success. A successful SSC depends on good working relationships among all members of the council.
